Al-Gar Federal Credit Union provides additional services to our members like VISA Check Cards, ATM Cards, TellerLine Phone Access, Convenient Branches, Direct Deposit, Payroll Deduction, Traveler Checks, Money Orders and Notary Services.

VISA Check Card

Forget having to look for your checkbook, a pen, and forms of identification.  With VISA Check Card, every purchase is as simple as using a credit card.  Our VISA Check Card gives you a faster, more economical, more convenient way to purchase groceries, gas or anything else.  That's because it allows access to the funds in your share draft account without ever having to write out a check.  Just remember to record all transactions in your check register. Use your card wherever VISA debit card is accepted.   And don't forget you can also use your VISA Check Card at the ATM to withdraw funds from share savings or share draft checking.

ATM Card & ATM Locations

Go to any ATM machine in the Cirrus Network and you can withdraw funds from your share savings or share draft checking account with an Al-Gar FCU ATM Card.  The Cirrus logo will be displayed on the ATM.  When you use an ATM not owned by Al-Gar FCU, you may be charged a fee by the ATM operator or any network used (and you may be charged a fee for a balance inquiry even if you do not complete a fund transfer). 

Use any ATM in our local Western Maryland ATM Connection and you should not be charged a fee.  Those participating in the Western Maryland ATM Connection are ABLE FCU, Allegany County Teachers FCU, CCSAC FCU, Chessie FCU, Healthcare 1st FCU, Kelco FCU, SECU, and WEPCO FCU.

TellerLine Phone Access

No matter where you are you can check on your balance, checks that have cleared, or transfer money between accounts any time of the day, seven days a week, with our Toll Free Automated Phone Teller.  It is easy to use.  Sign up today.

Direct Deposit

With direct deposit your check will be directly deposited into your account with no need to wait on the mail or to rush to the credit union.  Funds are safe and secure in your account. 

Payroll Deduction

Payroll deduction can make your loan payment or put some money away for savings.  The funds are deducted directly from your paycheck and sent to the credit union by participating employers.   It's so convenient you'll forget the money is even deducted from your pay.

Traveler Checks

As a member of Al-Gar FCU you can purchase American Express Traveler Cheques from any of our offices.  Choose from Single Signature or Checks for Two.

Money Orders

Money Orders can be purchased in any amount up to $1000.00 by credit union members.

Notary Service

Al-Gar FCU provides free notary service for all members.  You will need proper ID when having papers notarized.
